Advertisement Advertisement AdvertisementThe Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has arrested a 45-year-old suspected motorcycle thief and recovered 11 number plates. Hassan-Agalama said the suspect was arrested at his residence in Gaida, Kumbotso Local Government Area, following credible intelligence linking him to the activities of a motorcycle theft syndicate operating in the metropolis. He said the arrest followed the tracking of a motorcycle with registration number GRR 958 QB (Jigawa) to the suspect’s residence. “During a search of the residence, operatives recovered a motorcycle suspected to have been stolen from the premises of a hospital at Rijiyar Zaki, along Gwarzo Road, Kano” he said. Hassan-Agalama said the operatives also recovered another stolen motorcycle, 11 registered motorcycle plate numbers, six screwdrivers, three pliers and three bunches of motorcycle keys suspected to belong to stolen motorcycles.
