Thursday night was all about shooting sports at the 2026 Lyon County Fair as the shooting sports award ceremony took center stage in the show arena. Senior Morgan Liggett of Model Boosters was attending his final shooting sports event and says it was an exciting yet bittersweet moment for him. Liggett says he plans to continue shooting sports well into the future and also plans to stay active with 4H as a coach, hoping to pass on his knowledge to the next generation. Attlyn Hefron of Cloverleaf says she has been participating in shooting sports since a very young age, crediting her family for fostering her interest in the activity. Hefron, a self-described, says the accuracy of the activity is a big drawing point for her.
