(KNOX) –The Grand Forks School Board voted to approve a tax incentive project for the Ray Richards Golf Course Redevelopment Program. The vote was 5-4 and School Board President JoNell Bakke broke a 4-4 tie. The following school board members voted for the project: JoNell Bakke, Allyse Dunnigan, Jay Kleven, Amber Flynn and Eric Lunn. The investors are looking to receive a 20 year, 90 percent PILOT for the program, and they would need the Grand Forks School Board, Grand Forks County Commission, and Grand Forks City Council to all vote to support the project in order to go through with it. Before the vote was taken, Grand Forks City Administrator Todd Feland presented a new agreement between the investors and the taxing entities.
