Boom gates are down at a busy rail crossing in Bassendean, with motorists urged to seek an alternate route as traffic builds in the area. Transit police are on site at the Guilford Road and Collier Road rail crossing, with traffic slow around the intersection. Traffic is extremely slow on approach on Kwinana Freeway northbound before Roe Highway in Bibra Lake after a crash. A truck breakdown further south on the Kwinana Freeway northbound after Berrigan Drive in South Lake has been cleared. Likewise, an earlier crash on the Kwinana Freeway northbound at Mortimer Road in Wellard has been cleared after debris sprayed across the lanes.
