The Met Office today (Tuesday) has published an amber warning for extreme heat in the West Midlands, which affects the north-east regions of Worcestershire. "The highest temperatures will be in parts of the east, southeast and the Midlands, where 37 or even 38 Celsius could be reached. So far, the summer of 2026 has already seen two record-breaking heatwaves in May and June and already one previous rare extreme heat warning in June.
