Supply of the iPhone 18 Pro may be constrained at launch due to wider component shortages.
What could make this issue worse is the fact that Apple is reportedly not planning to introduce a base iPhone 18 model this year.
Instead, the company is expected to only debut the higher-end iPhone 18 models and its long-rumoured foldable iPhone Ultra during its usual September keynote.
The base iPhone 18 and lower-cost Air 2, meanwhile, are said to be slated for 2027.
Therefore, your only options for new iPhones this year will very likely be the (more expensive) iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max and iPhone Ultra.
