Last Thursday, Upstate came down, way down, all the way to Canal St. where Samantha Pleet and Hannah Kristina Metz revealed their pre-fall collection with a dinner by Leah Guadagnoli of Hudson Valley-based Fancy Feast Supper Club, and a performance by Tchotchke. And of course, plenty of pleats; all of it was elevated and flouncy but not without modern touches. It included Annie Hart, Maayan Zilberman, David Brandon Geeting, Sarah Moran, Landon Metz, and Sean Santiago. Fashion designers Hannah Kristina Metz and Samantha Pleet celebrated the reveal of their fall fashion collabNaturally, I drifted towards the food, guided by Guadagnoli, who lives in Hillsdale. The meal was inspired by Pleet and Metz’s color palette: “Aligned to summer’s most recent bounty,” Guadagnoli said.
