Stuart Anderson, MP for South Shropshire, has backed the Conservative Party’s "Save the Summer Job" campaign, aimed at protecting seasonal employment opportunities for young people.
Mr Anderson said: "A summer job is about more than extra money.
In South Shropshire, the number of 18 to 24-year-olds claiming unemployment-related benefits rose by 45 compared to last June.
Mr Anderson supports the Conservative plan to reduce business rates for 250,000 high street businesses, cut red tape, and remove barriers to hiring young staff.
He also supports repealing Sunday working restrictions, extending permitted evening hours to 9pm, and scrapping permits for employing young people.
