Police say on July 31 at 4:08 p.m., a BMW travelling eastbound on the road failed to move over for a police vehicle with its emergency lights on.
Police say when officers tried a traffic stop the BMW accelerated away, going more than 200 km/h.
Officers were able to identify the vehicle and the driver, who turned himself in that evening.
The 23-year-old driver is charged with stunt driving and fail to stop for police.
The vehicle was impounded for 14 days and a license suspension of 30 days was implemented.
