Crew called into action for fire in front garden caused by 'discarded cigarette'

The emergency services were at an address on Scarfell Crescent on the night of Thursday, August 6. A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said a cigarette caused the fire in the front garden. Firefighters dampened down the area of the blaze, which was already out on arrival, after attending from Northwich Fire Station. A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "This is believed to have begun accidentally due to a discarded cigarette."
