INNOTRANS: Berlin-based night train interior design start-up Luna Rail is to unveil its Hotel Pod and Seat Pod concepts in a real passenger vehicle for the first time at InnoTrans 2026. The Hotel Pod and Seat Pod aim to provide privacy and comfort while maintaining a relatively high capacity within the space available on an existing passenger coach. The Hotel Pod is a private cabin offering space for movement, a wide seating and sleeping area, a large window and an integrated multimedia system. Luna Rail recently announced its first co-operation with a train operator, working with excursion operator Reissujuna to establish daytime and overnight train services in Finland using first-class Hotel Pods. ‘We want to be the driving force behind the night train renaissance in Europe’, said Luna Rail CEO Anton Dubrau on August 11.
