Hope deaths will be avoided as parking banned after six-year fight

Shropshire Council has painted double yellow lines on both sides of the B4361 Overton Road, with Ludlow councillor Vivienne Parry saying it has been six years in the making.
The new rule banning waiting or loading covers the stretch from Virginia Cottage to 98 metres north of Ludlow Touring Park.
Councillor Parry said up to 30 cars flanking the road between the A49 and Ludlow has been an "accident in waiting".
However, she admitted there are concerns cars will now be able to travel faster along the road and now wants to see the speed limit cut from 60mph to 50mph, or even 40mph.
Councillor Parry said she was looking into what could be done as it is "like being on a race track when trying to get into houses".
