Our ocean: Ministers endorsed the 2026 Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Ocean Statement and advanced work on fisheries and ocean governance. The findings of the exchange will inform Palau’s implementation of its first Country Programme and its continuing work to strengthen national climate finance coordination. Regional learning on climate finance will continue from 25–27 August 2026, when Pacific countries meet in Pohnpei for the Pacific Climate Finance Readiness Learning Exchange, hosted by the Government of the Federated States of Micronesia and SPC.
