(IN BRIEF) The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is providing a €250 million green loan to NE Property BV, a subsidiary of NEPI Rockcastle, to finance sustainable real estate investments across Central, Southern and Eastern Europe. The eight-year senior unsecured loan will support green retail developments, upgrades and asset expansions, primarily in Romania, Bulgaria, Poland and Hungary. Eligible projects will be financed under NEPI Rockcastle’s Green Finance Framework, which is aligned with the ICMA Green Bond Principles and LMA Green Loan Principles. It will support eligible green projects under NEPI Rockcastle’s Green Finance Framework, which is aligned with the ICMA Green Bond Principles and the LMA Green Loan Principles. Beyond real estate investments, the project includes a multi-year training programme for more than 300 employees.
