Hearts are looking for a new chief executive as Andrew McKinlay is leaving at the end of August after six years.
Paterson, said: “Andrew has served as CEO during a significant period in our history, which has seen considerable progress.
McKinlay commented: “It has been an honour to serve as CEO of Hearts.
Another man departing is Alexandros Kyziridis who has left Hearts to join Turkish side Çorum FK.
Greece-born Kyziridis joined Hearts in the summer of 2025 and made 45 appearances, scoring six goals.
