The incident took place outside the Linney public toilets, where police said the fire was started on a manhole cover. West Mercia Police has warned that even small fires could escalate in current hot, dry conditions. A police spokesperson said: "Please avoid lighting fires, disposable barbecues, or any other naked flames in public areas. Last week, police issued a similar warning after firefighters were called to a small fire in the skate park near Wheeler Road, which the fire service suspected was malicious. "By working together, we can help prevent unnecessary risks and damage to community assets."
