Siderise CW-FS Firestop has achieved a 2-hour F-rating under India’s IS 18190:2023 standard for curtain wall perimeter fire barriersThe Siderise CW-FS Firestop has been successfully tested to IS 18190:2023, India’s dedicated test method for assessing the fire resistance of perimeter fire barrier joint systems. The product achieved a 2-hour F-rating, strengthening its existing test portfolio and supporting its application in curtain wall façades across India’s growing high-rise construction market. As part of the testing programme, CW-FS Firestop was subjected to mechanically induced movement between the minimum and maximum joint widths. CW-FS Firestop achieved an L-rating of less than 1 CFM/linear ft, demonstrating its ability to restrict smoke movement through the compartmentation measure. The latest testing provides further evidence of CW-FS Firestop’s performance in curtain wall perimeter applications and supports Siderise’s continued expansion in India’s high-rise construction sector.
