Prince Township council is backing talks that could bring an affordable seniors’ housing project to the community. District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board is interested in township-owned property on Marshall Drive as a possible site. Margaret Christenson noted that the proposal from the DSSMSSAB was similar to one developed in 2015 by the township’s Prince Assisted Living/Senior Services Committee, or PALSS. Christenson was one of five residents who served on the PALSS Committee, whose goal was to build a housing complex near Airport Road for Prince seniors who wanted to downsize without moving to Sault Ste.
