Second Street Daycare officially breaks ground on new facility

On Thursday morning (Aug. 6), staff from Second Street Daycare along with representatives from the District of Timiskaming Social Services Administrative Board and Kirkland Lake Mayor Stacy Wight came together for the official groundbreaking at the Queen site where the future facility is being built.

It marks the beginning of a new chapter for our organization, for the families we serve and for the future of Kirkland Lake.”
The facility started in a portable building on the property of the former Kirkland Lake Collegiate and Vocational Institute and has two current locations, Northern College and on Second Street.
It is an investment in children, families, and in the future of our community.
