Find out more about the winner and shortlisted entries in the Learning Disabilities Nursing category at the 2025 Nursing Times Awards. Winners across 25 categories, including Learning Disabilities Nursing, received their awards at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane. The learning disabilities nurse trained over 300 midwifery and obstetrics staff, providing learning disabilities awareness training and communication workshops. Another key focus was enhancing recruitment to the learning disability nursing course at Sheffield Hallam University, developing a strategic approach, drafting national guides, and presenting at the 7th Biannual Learning Disability Nursing Symposium. To promote co-production, I established a local advocacy network and spearheaded the National Community of Practice for Intellectual and Learning Disability Nurses, sharing resources and collaborating with Learning Disability Nurses across Scotland, Wales, and the RCN UK Learning Disability Steering Committee.
