Stuart Anderson, Conservative MP for South Shropshire, is supporting his party’s national Pothole Patrol initiative, which aims to fix potholes with modern machinery, technology and a streamlined reporting system. Mr Anderson said: "Two in every three people in South Shropshire rely on a car or van to get to work. The MP has been campaigning on the issue locally through his own Pothole Patrol Survey, which has already identified more than 100 hotspots in South Shropshire. The Conservative plan includes a £100 million investment in specialist repair machines and a single national reporting platform to replace patchy local systems. Mr Anderson said the proposals could save drivers hundreds of pounds each year.
