Police in Oakland will hopefully be able to track down a vehicle that allegedly committed a hit-and-run Saturday night in East Oakland that left one woman dead. The crash occurred near the Eastmont Town Center around 11:45 pm Saturday, as KRON4 reports, on the 2500 block of 73rd Avenue. The suspect vehicle was apparently heading northbound on 73rd Avenue when the vehicle struck a woman at the intersection of 73rd and Garfield Avenue, leaving her lying in the roadway and fleeing the scene. There were several security cameras in the area, including, presumably, at the police station, but no suspect vehicle has been identified, at least publicly. The Oakland Police Eastmont Substation is located at 2651 73rd Avenue, in Eastmont Town Center.
