Cyprus Vehicle Registrations Up 11.5% Through July as Hybrids Overtake Petrol Cars

Saloon car registrations rose 2.2% to 4,244 from 4,154 a year earlier. For the January-July period, saloon car registrations increased 11.1% to 26,841, up from 24,158 in the same period of 2025. New cars accounted for 8,614 of those registrations, or 32.1%, while used cars made up 18,227, or 67.9%. Rental car registrations fell 11.8%, dropping to 3,159 from 3,581. Bus registrations rose to 130 in the seven-month period, up from 89 in the same period of 2025.
