GROVE CITY, Ohio — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after two vehicles were struck by gunfire Monday morning on Interstate 71 South near the Interstate 270 interchange and Stringtown Road. Deputies responded to the area at approximately 7:26 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, following reports that two vehicles traveling southbound on I-71 had been hit by gunfire. According to investigators, an unknown suspect reportedly fired multiple rounds from a moving vehicle before fleeing the area. Franklin County Sheriff’s Office detectives are actively investigating the incident.
