The Karnataka High Court has quashed an FIR against a television news anchor over alleged remarks concerning Prophet Muhammad. Earlier FIR arising from same programme had been quashedA crucial factor before the High Court was that another FIR had earlier been registered against the anchor and the manager of Suvarna News in relation to the same incident. It is also observed that there is no reference to any particular community. The High Court referred to the Supreme Court's decisions in T.T. For these reasons, the High Court allowed the petition and quashed the proceedings in 2019 case against the petitioner.
