Homeowners will have access to practical information and hands-on learning opportunities this fall through free home energy efficiency workshops being offered in 25 communities throughout the region. The workshops are being delivered by the Community Energy Association on behalf of Columbia Basin Trust to help residents better understand how energy is used in their homes and identify practical ways to improve comfort and energy efficiency. “Residents have told us they’re looking for practical information about improving home comfort and energy efficiency, but it can be difficult to know where to start,” said Ulli Mueller, senior manager, delivery of benefits, for the Columbia Basin Trust. “Through this partnership with Community Energy Association, we’re bringing expert-led workshops to communities across the Basin so homeowners can understand their options and make informed decisions about future home improvements.” Each workshop will include live demonstrations, practical take-home resources and guidance from energy efficiency experts.
