Mr Bradley described the Marches Line as "the worst for punctuality and reliability" on the TfW network, despite being one of the most expensive routes. Mr Bradley, who had used the trains to commute to and from work, said overcrowding has worsened his anxiety. "When I'm travelling on the trains when it's packed, my anxiety goes through the roof because I feel claustrophobic," he said. Responding to the concerns, TfW acknowledged that disruption had frustrated passengers and said recent high temperatures had created challenges across the network. On fare variations across the network, TfW said differences largely stem from historic pricing structures inherited from previous operators and franchises, and it was trying to tackle long-standing inconsistencies.
