The Supreme Court today has allowed Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee to travel abroad for eye treatment. Banerjee approached the top court after the Calcutta High Court recently denied his plea. As ASG Raju vehemently opposed the plea today, Justice Bagchi observed, "Every individual has a right to travel abroad. The number of cases now against him… So the likelihood of not returning is more today," ASG told court today. Few days back, Calcutta High Court heard the Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee plea seeking urgent protection from a growing list of FIRs filed against him since May.
