RACING Club Warwick marked their return to Step Three football with a 1-1 draw against Peterborough Sports on the opening day of the season. The Racers fell behind to Harvey Williams’ early strike only for Kieran Cooney to draw Warwick level shortly before half time at Townsend Meadow. Playing at Step Three for the first time in 23 years, Warwick welcomed Peterborough to Townsend Meadow after the latter side suffered relegation from the National League North last term. Clear-cut chances were at a premium after the break as the game ended all square on the opening day. Racing Club Warwick are next in action against Banbury United on Tuesday, August 11 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Spencer Stadium.
