Hydrant flushing work is set to get underway in Morrisburg and Iroquois. Starting Thursday, the South Dundas Water and Wastewater department will be performing hydrant flushing on all dead-ends. It’s expected the work will take place until Aug. 14. Officials say hydrant flushing is necessary to maintain water quality and system infrastructure. While there should be no impact to water users, if residents have rust-coloured water, they should run their cold water tap until the water clears.
