LEAMINGTON CC survived almost three overs with only a wicket in hand to battle to a draw against Shifnal. Seb Bainbridge and Shailan Srikanthan dug in with the bat after Harrison Smith and Jonathan Wigley scored half-centuries for Leamington at Shifnal Cricket Ground. Leamington closed on 244-9 after Shifnal posted 292-6 from their 55 overs as home skipper Charlie Home hit an unbeaten century. Shifnal won the toss and elected to bat as opener Oliver Parton (49) fell one run shy of a half-ton. Leamington restricted Shifnal to 57-3 and 102-4 before Home (104 not out) and Ben Lees (79) combined for a 154-run fifth-wicket stand.
