SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Aug, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Awais Mushtaq on Tuesday chaired a meeting of theDistrict Development Committee to review the revised development plan of the LocalGovernment Department and progress on various development schemes. The meeting, held in line with Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision for effective monitoring of development projects, reviewed progress on ongoing schemes, requirements for new projects, quality of development works and their completion within the stipulated timeframe, according to the DC office spokesperson. The deputy commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure transparency, quality and pace in the execution of development projects and stressed that all schemes should be completed within the given timeframe. He said public welfare projects were aimed at improving civic facilities and providing better services to people, adding that no compromise would be made on the quality of development works. The meeting also reviewed various administrative and technical matters related to the development plan and issued necessary directions to the concerned departments.
