A volunteer from Leamington has been selected to represent the UK at the World Scout Jamboree in Poland in 2027. The 26th World Scout Jamboree will take place in Gdansk, Poland, and Matthew will take on a role that could include running outdoor activities, supporting cultural exchanges, or helping deliver large-scale events celebrating the diversity of global Scouting. Matthew said:“This will be my first World Scout Jamboree, and I’m looking forward to going to Poland to provide life changing opportunities for local people. Scouts gives me a place to belong, and supports me to travel the world.” The World Scout Jamboree takes place every four years, giving young people aged 14 to 17 a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet Scouts from across the globe.
