CPW confirms a hunter killed Gray Wolf 2504 in Rio Blanco County, by accident

Colorado Parks and Wildlife has concluded its investigation with US Fish and Wildlife about the death of female gray wolf 2504, on Jan. 16, in Rio Blanco County.
CPW writes, “The hunter promptly reported the incident to CPW and cooperated with law enforcement throughout the investigation.”
Female Gray Wolf 2504 was translocated to Colorado from British Columbia in January of 2025.
