Another unique vessel is slated to dock in Parry Sound. The Neeskay Research Vessel from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee will be arriving on Aug. 6 and docking for a week. Officials say the Neeksay offers students, faculty and scientists the ability to study Georgian Bay year-round. The 71-foot vessel, built in 1952, includes a full range of wet and dry lab facilities for chemical, physical, biological and geological sampling and analysis. The vessel is expected to dock in town for a week each year for the next five years.
