The concept of “Meet the Candidates” is being turned around a bit next month in Timmins, with an event called “Meet the Voters”.
André Gagnon, one of the administrators of the Facebook group The Voices of Timmins, says they’re going to set up tables around the McIntyre Ballroom: one for candidates for mayor and one for candidates in each of the five wards.
“The people can go up to them, meet them and ask them the questions they want,” he explains.
“Just, you know, ask the questions a voter wants to know about their ward.”
Gagnon says The Voices of Timmins group is proud to offer the event to help voters be informed before they vote for a candidate and what type of change they want in Timmins.
