LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Aug, 2026) Town Planning Wing of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) demolished5 illegal commercial structures and sealed 63 properties in different parts ofthe city. On the direction of LDA Director General Tahir Farooq, LDA teams carried outenforcement operations in LDA-controlled areas and various housing schemes,including LDA City Road, Shahid Town, Pak Arab Housing Scheme, Gulberg,Faisal Town, Canal Road, Shadman and Poonch Road. The teams demolished five illegal structures in LDA City Road, Shahid Townand Pak Arab Housing Scheme. Another 38 properties along Canal Road, Shadman andPoonch Road were sealed over illegal commercial use and non-paymentof commercialisation fees. The LDA DG said indiscriminate action against illegal commercial buildingsand properties defaulting on commercialisation fees would continue acrossthe city.
