There’s an August 31st deadline to apply to volunteer during the Timmins Fall Fair, September 12th and 13th at the Mountjoy Arena. Volunteer coordinator Alisha Lafontaine-Cook says it’s a great way for high school students to get volunteer hours, but spots fill up fast. “So that’s emptying the barn out and getting the arena set up for the actual fair week.” On those days, however, there are duties like working at concessions… general clean-up… and covering breaks for other workers.
