For those pursuing careers in economics, the South African Reserve Bank (SARB)has announced a 2027 bursary programme that will be of interest. To that end, the programme is now open for applications, with the SARB giving those embarking on the first year of their undergraduate studies until 30th September 2026 to apply. Per SA News, the SARB is looking for applicants who come from disadvantaged backgrounds in particular. “The SARB’s Economic Research Department, in collaboration with the SARB Academy, hereby invites prospective undergraduate degree students to apply for competitive SARB bursaries in the fields of economics, economics and econometrics, economics and mathematical statistics, and economic science,” it added.
