Julie Cosgrove, 58, raised concerns about a stretch of verge on Bromyard Road near the town's primary school. She says the area regularly goes uncut and this year has become covered in grass seeds, which can pose a risk to dogs. As a dog owner herself, she has been avoiding the stretch because of concerns about grass seeds becoming lodged in animals' paws. She said the seeds can work their way into a dog's body, potentially causing infections and expensive veterinary treatment. "This year the area has been rife with grass seeds," she said.
