An area restriction is in effect near the Mount Rollins wildfire as crews continue to respond to the blaze. The BC Wildfire Service said the wildfire was estimated at 236 hectares and was suspected to have been caused by lightning. The restriction covers Crown land in the area and was put in place for public safety, the wildfire service said. Detailed boundaries are available on the BC Wildfire Service restriction map. The wildfire service said people must not enter the restricted area unless they meet an exemption under the order.
