NDA MPs hold march in Parliament over alleged police action against Jharkhand students

New Delhi, Aug 11: NDA MPs on Tuesday held a march inside the Parliament premises protesting alleged police action against students in Jharkhand, accusing the Opposition of disrupting proceedings despite the government’s assurance that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is ready to respond to the issue.
The MPs carried placards alleging that the Opposition was avoiding a discussion on the student protests.
Union Minister Anupriya Patel accused the Opposition of deliberately disrupting Parliament.
BJP General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh termed the alleged police action against students unfortunate and accused Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi of adopting double standards on student issues.
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj also accused Gandhi of disrupting parliamentary proceedings and repeatedly shifting the focus of discussions.
