Robert Gene Greer, 60 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found in possession of methamphetamine while shoplifting at Walmart in West Rome. Police stated that Greer concealed $37.24 worth of merchandise and walked out of the store without paying. Officers added that while taking Greer into custody they located suspected meth in his pocket. Greer is charged with possession of methamphetamine and theft by shoplifting.
