The arrested suspects were produced before the court of Judge Muhammad Hamid Mughal, which granted NAB seven-day physical remand of both accused for further investigation.
During the hearing, NAB Special Prosecutor Habibullah Baig told the court that C&W Department Kohistan employee Ijaz-ul-Haq had been arrested on a NAB warrant.
He allegedly opened accounts in his name at two private banks in Dasu and transferred Rs113.8 million from public funds into his personal accounts.
NAB alleged that both suspects, in connivance with other individuals, were involved in the embezzlement of government funds and causing substantial loss to the national exchequer.
After hearing the NAB arguments, the court handed over both suspects to NAB on seven-day physical remand.
