Amazon Australia customers in Melbourne and Sydney could soon start receiving their deliveries in a matter of hours, with the retail giant unveiling its fastest shopping options in Australia to date. Arno Lenior, director of Prime for Amazon Australia, said Amazon is seeing increased demand from customers for “delivery options that fit around their lives, not the other way around”. Meanwhile, Amazon Australia is also rolling out a delivery option called Amazon Day, which allows shoppers to choose a day of the week to receive all their Amazon orders in one delivery, instead of multiple packages arriving on different days. The new delivery options represent Amazon’s fastest deliveries in Australia to date, and come almost 10 years after the retailer set up local operations in Australia. It also recently expanded its existing same-day delivery options for Prime members in Adelaide, Canberra and Geelong in Victoria.
