Ludlow's Portcullis Surgery and the South-West Shropshire Primary Care Network showcased their Farmer-Friendly GP Practice Accreditation Initiative at Burwarton Show, attracting widespread attention from farmers, families and residents keen to learn more about the project. Dr Catherine Beanland, senior partner at Portcullis Surgery, said: "The support we received at the Burwarton Show was incredible. "It was encouraging to hear so many farmers and their families tell us they believe this initiative is long overdue." Visitors were offered free health checks, with more than 50 blood pressure tests carried out by GP Dr Larissa Blick. It is modelled on the existing Veterans Friendly GP Practice programme.
