Hoeven, a cosponsor of the SAVE America Act, has been working with President Trump and his colleagues in the U.S. Senate to find a path forward for the legislation to ensure the integrity of the elections. The legislation was blocked by Senate Democrats. “In North Dakota, we have successfully implemented a voter ID law that both protects our elections and includes measures ensuring those who are eligible can vote,” said Hoeven. “This is common sense legislation that simply requires an individual show a photo ID in order to vote.
