Parachute’s Grand Valley Days will celebrate the town’s 118th anniversary with a “Red, White, and Bucking Blue” this year. The Pancake Breakfast kicks off at 7-10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, followed by the parade at 10 a.m. The couple is in realty, with Mrs. Lynn Shore volunteering her time to Meals on Wheels, Garfield County Literacy, and the fire department. Mr. Lynn Shore has served on the Battlement Mesa Metropolitan District, Garfield School District 16, the Grand Valley Fire Protection District and other organizations.
