SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Aug, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Awais Mushtaq on Tuesday chaired a meetingto review the arrangements for Independence Day celebrations in thedistrict. According to the DC office spokesperson, the meeting reviewed arrangementsfor flag-hoisting ceremonies at official and public places, cleanliness, beautification,lighting, traffic management and security. The DC directed the concerned departments to complete all arrangementswell before August 14 and ensure special cleanliness, beautification and lightingacross the city. He also directed that government buildings and important publicplaces be decorated with national flags and lights. Awais Mushtaq said Independence Day was an occasion to recall the sacrificesmade for the creation of Pakistan and called for highlighting national unity, patriotismand love for the country during the celebrations.
