The 310 Fire southeast of Parachute remained at 603 acres and reached 47% containment Monday, with 179 personnel assigned to the wildfire. The fire was reported at 12:37 p.m. Thursday and is burning about 3.5 miles southeast of Parachute. Crews spent Monday mopping up and working to reinforce and increase containment lines throughout the fire perimeter. The Ready areas include County Road 310 and County Road 301 in Morisannia Mesa, County Road 338 in Morisannia Mesa near Battlement Mesa and Parachute, County Road 302 past the 2-mile mark and the 3600 through 6000 blocks of County Road 301. Jared Polis verbally declared a disaster emergency Friday, activating the State Emergency Operations Plan and directing state agencies to assist with response, recovery and mitigation efforts.
